Simplot Vision Program
What you need to know
Vision benefits are covered through the Simplot Vision Program, administered by VSP. Annual vision exams are covered at 100% when you use in-network providers. You can see any provider you’d like, but you’ll receive greater benefits when you see a VSP in-network provider.
Who you can cover
Most employees are eligible to participate in the Simplot Vision Program. If you’re eligible, you can also enroll certain family members.

Using your VSP benefits
Your VSP vision benefit through the Simplot Vision Program provides comprehensive vision coverage. You have the choice to see the provider you choose to keep your eyes healthy, but keep in mind you receive a higher benefit with a VSP in-network provider (meaning you’ll pay less for care). The Simplot Vision Program includes coverage for lenses and contacts, so you can choose the eyewear that is right for you.
Using your VSP benefit is easy: Visit vsp.com to find a provider in the VSP Choice network and review your coverage information. When it comes time for care, no vision ID card is necessary. At your appointment, just tell them you have VSP benefits and they’ll take it from there.
To set up your account, visit vsp.com and click Create an Account. You’ll need your Social Security number or Member ID number, first and last name and your date of birth.
Top tip
If you use an out-of-network provider, you may be required to pay the full cost of services and submit a claim to VSP for reimbursement.
