Stay Healthy This Cold & Flu Season
As fall starts, with school in full swing and holidays approaching, our exposure to germs increases. As we enter the cold and flu season, here are some ways to protect yourself and your family.
Boost your immune system:
- Get plenty of rest
- Stay hydrated
- Eat healthy
- Stay active
Protect yourself:
- Wash hands with soap and water
- Clean frequently used surfaces
- Avoid touching your face
- Get vaccinated for flu, COVID, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses
- Vaccines, based on age recommendations, are covered at no cost if you are enrolled in the Simplot Medical Program
Get well:
If you do catch the bug, stay home and prevent the spread. If you need non-emergency medical care, Teladoc is a convenient, cost-effective way to have a general medical visit for issues such as flu, cold, sort throat, earaches, and more.
When enrolled in the Simplot Medical Program, visits are $65 and are available 24/7, 365 days a year. You have the choice of an on-demand or scheduled visit with a U.S. board-certified clinician via phone or video. You can be diagnosed, treated and prescribed medication, if necessary.
Teladoc is available to employees and dependents enrolled in the Simplot Medical Program.
